At first glance, this lamp has the familiar outline of a traditional table lamp. Look closer and you can see that the base is built from five separate solid wood flutes.
The flutes sit around contrasting center pieces, with narrow openings between them. As you move around the lamp, those openings widen and narrow, changing how much of each wood you see. The result is a simple form with a little movement in it.
The wood is finished with a hard wax oil for protection and a natural, low-sheen surface that still feels like wood.
